The temple serves as an access to reach Luang Prabang as it is located near the confluence of the Mekong and Nam Khan River.
PAK OU CAVES
The caves are situated where the Nam Ou and Mekong River meet. It can be found inside the limestone cliff and it serves as shrines to the river spirit as well as Buddha. There are two caves: Tham Ting, the lower one while the upper is Tham Theung.
It is said that the statues of Buddha you will find inside were left by locals over hundreds of years ago. In addition, you can make a side trip to ‘Lao Lao Village’ in Ban Xang Hay which is famous for its whiskey.
KUANG SI WATERFALL
Feel refreshed after a tiring day of wandering around Luang Prabang by taking a dip at Kuang Si Waterfall. You will be in awe of how beautiful the falls is as it looks exactly like the pictures you see on the internet.
