Doi Mon Chong | Chiang Mai
Doi Mon Chong, one of Chiang Mai’s bucket-list mountain climbs, is famous for its beautiful golden meadow and its summit, which resembles a lion’s head. The trek is open for reservation starting today until February 14th, 2023 (closed on Wednesdays).
Rising 1,934 meters above sea level, Doi Mon Chong is worth waking up early to welcome the sunrise over the heavenly sea of fog. It’s recommended to stay overnight as the trekking distance spans up to 4 km (3-4 hours per one-way trip). The path is suitable for all levels, from beginners to advanced trekkers, alternating between the flat sidewalk and steep paths up and down hills, with the steepest part reaching 70 degrees before arriving the camping ground.

- Must be accompanied by a local guide
- Must prepare your own tent, sleeping equipment, food, and drinking water
