Loy Krathong 2019 : Sukhothai Loy Krathong and Candle Festival 2019

The Loy Krathong festival is nearly upon us and Sukhothai is Thailand’s most fitting city to celebrate this long-standing tradition among its 700-year-old ruins of cultural heritage. To experience Loy Krathong at its best, Sukhothai Historical Park is the place to be. Every year in the middle of November, the Historical Park will be hosting the much-anticipated event called ‘Sukhothai Loy Krathong and Candle Festival’. This 2019, the event will be held during 2 – 11 November. To wander around the festival here is to see and witness Loy Krathong through the eyes of a local as Sukhothai is where locals are to be seen more so than foreign visitors and for this, you’re experiencing authentic Thainess that other bigger touristy cities could not offer.

Sukhothai Loy Krathong festival could have been considered an event that showcases the essence of Thailand in multiple artistic fields.
