Ramkhamhaeng National Park
To go hiking in Thailand, Sukhothai is surely not the first place that come to mind. Aside from its largest temple complex in the country, it has yet another national park worth visiting. Locally called as Khao Luang, this is the highest mountain peak in Sukhothai.
Rising 1,200 meters above sea level, Ramkhamhaeng National Park is dubbed as one of northern Thailand’s peaks that’s hard to conquer. The distance though is only 3.7 km long but there are many steep ascents to pass. The trekking duration normally takes around 3 – 6 hours.
Luckily that on the way up to the peak lies various clean water sources to fill your bottle so you won’t be bothered bringing too many drinking bottles.
