For a more budget-friendly option, get on a bus either at Ekamai Station or Suvarnabhumi Bus Terminal in Bangkok to Laem Ngop Pier. Make sure to carefully check the bus schedule, as there is only one trip per day from each location. After the bus departs in the early morning, you will arrive at Laem Ngop Pier 6-7 hours later. From the pier on the mainland, you can reach Koh Mak within 1 hour by a regular speedboat.
